7:00am – 3:30 pm

Late and early hours are available by appointment.

The Chilton-Clanton Public Library is issuing FREE public library cards for students ages 16 and under. You will be allowed hardcopy check-outs and digital access to eBooks. You must visit the library at 100 1st Avenue, Clanton with a parent or guardian. The hours are Monday- Friday 9-4.

New e-books for all students! Check it Out!!

  • We now have e-books available for all students through the Open eBooks app. Email Mrs. Blencowe (jtblencowe@chiltonboe.com) to get an instruction page and access code to download the app, so you can access thousands of popular ebooks for free.  Email Mrs. Blencowe in the library for questions or help.  Happy reading. 
  • Use our new Follet Destiny web-based circulation program to search our card catalog online. Click on the "links" above to search for materials in our library media center. 

 

Chilton County Schools Library Mission Statement

The primary objective of the Library Media Center is to implement, enrich and support the educational program of Chilton County High School.  It is the duty of the center to provide a wide range of materials on all levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal, and the presentation of different points of view.


Vision Statement

The vision of the Chilton County Media Centers is a student-centered program that promotes effective learning and teaching strategies and activities with information access skills through collaboration, leadership and technology to ensure that students within the school community become lifelong learners.


CCHS Circulation Policy

Students may check out one personal book and as many as two other books if assigned by a teacher.  Books may be checked out for a period of 3 weeks and must be checked in or renewed at the end of 21 days or an overdue fine of $.10 per day will accrue.  A student having fines or an overdue book will not be allowed to borrow materials until that fine is paid and overdue book is returned.

Do you need to print/copy?

  • Academic black & white printing -  $.10 cents each
  • Color printing -$.25 cents per page

Students may scan and save/email documents using the library's equipment.  See a library worker for assistance. Supplies and technical support for other projects are available upon request at the circulation desk. 

Notes:

We are adding new materials daily. If there is something we do not have but you would like to see, please speak with Mrs. Blencowe. She wants to provide a variety of reading material, so let her know your book suggestions.

Book donations are accepted and used at our discretion to either supplement our collection or be sold to purchase other materials to add to our collection.
